Spring is catching on in Austin. Which means summer's not far behind. Yikes. So what's new - Rice Grass was a blast, we had a great set with a great crowd. Alan Munde joined us on stage for a few tunes, what a treat! Thanks so much to Jeff Gavin and all involved in putting on that cool little festival and keeping it running. In the next month or so I have my usual local Buegrass Outfit Shows; if you're in the San Marcos area, it's the perfect time of year now to come out to Tantra on a wednesday night for some bluegrass. Also, Billy Bright, Steven Crow and I will be at the Whitehorse in Austin April 27th.

In May, look out Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, The Geoff Union Band is heading your way. We'll be out for a week at the end of the month, leading up to my set with Billy, Steven, and Chojo Jacques at the 3rd annual John Hartford Memorial Festival at the historic Bean Blossom Park in Indiana. Other performers include Larry Keel, Jeff Austin, Great American Taxi, Rumpke Mt Boys, and Jamie Hartford. Our tour dates include stops in Cincinnati, Lexington, and Bloomington and Bedford, Indiana. It's my first trip to the area since the Two High String Band days; I'm excited to get out on the road for the first of many visits to that great part of the country.

I'm working on some Colorado shows for July; in August, Billy and I will appear at the Fire on the Strings Festival south of Houston, and we have a trip to NW Arkansas in the works for early September. The songwriting and tune development is coming along nicely and its a great feeling to have that ball rolling, further and further on down the line!
